The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” The First Amendment says that as an American you have the right to think for yourself. You have the right to communicate your ideas to others. You have the right to peacefully gather with others to discuss and express your ideas. You have the right of talk with elected officials to request that your concerns be addressed. ProgressMV is working to preserve Democracy using the rights guaranteed to us by our Constitution.
